Hey there and welcome to the blog! This blog is where I share my latest photo sessions, tips on photography, some of my amateur attempts at home organizing and decorating, and just some fun things we want to remember as the ordinary days of family life go by. Dancemakers Convention Bethesda 2019 | Emily

Dancemakers Stay the Path Tour was this past weekend in Bethesda, MD and we had an absolute blast! Out of all the dance competitions and conventions we have been to, I have to say this one is definitely my favorite!! Not only do the girls learn some great dance techniques and ideas that stretch them out of their comfort zone, they also BUILD THEM UP. They teach on being true to yourself, staying the path, trusting yourself, wise use of social media, audition tips and techniques, basic life skills and how to be a beautiful human being. Seriously, it’s the best one out there! Being a photographer myself – I can relate to the level of beauty and expertise their on staff photographer brings!! Emily competed her solo at an earlier Dancemakers Convention back in January in Pittsburgh – you can see those images RIGHT HERE.

At this convention, Emily danced in the studio wide musical theater production number “On The Town” – if you have never watched that movie, I would highly recommend it – this is such a fun number to watch. (We can’t post video anywhere on line because of choreographer copyrights). She also competed in “Moondance”, “Spring”, and “You Will Be Found”, which is a number from Dear Evan Hansen. Every time I hear this song I can’t help but cry, it has such a beautiful message. Hearing those words and watching my beautiful girl dance to it makes me a sobbing mess every single time.
