I’ve never been one to follow trends when in comes to photography, but I have to say that I am in LOVE with the latest trend of doing lifestyle newborn photography sessions!!  It is so much more fitting for my style of photography that I do anyway – capturing love between family members, and documenting special milestones.  While I do love a fun “Anne Geddes” look like the rest of us, I’m not super sad to see that trend falling away. These beautiful images are just so much more NATURAL and REAL!  These are the sweet memories we want to remember those first few days home with a newborn baby.  Little babes are so much more content snuggled into mom or dads safe arms.  This brand new momma and daddy are sooooo in love with their sweet new little bundle that it just shows in everything they do!

Could this new momma be any more beautiful!! Leigh – you are totally rocking this new mommy look!!

This little rocking chair is a cherished family heirloom.  It has been in the family at least back to baby Landon’s great-grandfather, possibly even longer! It has been reupholstered over the decades and is now the perfect addition to Landon’s sweet little nursery.  The little quilt hanging over the back in the picture above was made by his grandmother.

In the picture below – you can see Landon’s daddy’s own baby book and his first little pair of Reebok high-top sneakers!!  (I won’t mention how very old I felt when his daddy told me he was born the same year I graduated high school.) Gulp.

I fell head over heels in love with this wedding photo they had on their wall!  We just had to get a picture of where the journey began to where it has led them today!

I could also totally relate to Landon’s daddy and his love of Harry Potter.  HE had this idea all set up and waiting for me – I almost DIED!!! How cute is that? Only true Potterheads will appreciate this one.

It was absolutely wonderful meeting you Mazzei family! You have a precious little family and I hope you enjoy every minute of that sweet baby boy! Congratulations again!
