Crouse & Santoro North Carolina Wedding

They say rain on your wedding day is a sign of good luck. I think for these two it certainly was!  The mist and the soft light look were so romantic and made for lots of snuggles and cuddles! Even though the rain presented quite a challenge, we were able to make the most of it. I have known Abby since she was just a little girl, and it was such a sentimental day  to see her marry the man of her dreams.  Every little detail of her wedding was just beautiful and was such a testament to their priorities, and their love for each other. MISTER Heather O’Steen Photography was my assistant and second shooter for the day and after this wedding he is officially hired!! There’s nothing like someone who knows you better than you know yourself to anticipate every detail that needs addressing! Not to mention that Abby was always one of his favorite friends that would frequent our home over the years (shhhh don’t tell the others).  It was a bittersweet day for him to see this sweet girl all grown up and married now.

Abby & Chris you are truly beautiful people inside and out, and we just know your marriage will be a blessing to others as you share your love with them. We love the way you love your family, the way you love your friends like family, and we were honored to be a part of that throughout the weekend. We hope your wedding photos will become a part of the legacy that has gone before you, and is to come after you.  As you begin your journey together, may the memories of this day and the tangible photos we are giving you be a reminder of the beautiful people that you are, ready to change this world……. together.

Abby wore her grandmother’s pearls, and the emerald earrings

were a Christmas gift from her soon to be husband!

The beautiful church where the ceremony took place was founded in 1893!  The Reverend Christopher Santoro (the groom!) is a pastor at this church so it has such a profound meaning that this is where their marriage begins.

One of my favorite photos to capture at every wedding is the conversation of the bride and groom on the wedding day. It’s always full of love and excitement about the day as well as the small details that matter, like irons and ironing boards!! It’s such a perfect example of what real marriage is all about.

I just loved Abby’s idea of having super comfortable wedding day shoes with words of love and advice from her bridesmaids! Every step she took that day was wrapped in love and sweet words from those who mean the most to her.

As her friends and family helped her dress for the day, they shared fun memories and had some good laughs at all the adventures they have shared together! Abby’s sweet Momma T prayed over her and her marriage while her sister and friends gathered around her.

Call me guilty right up front – this little flower girl stole my heart so there will be an over abundance of pictures of her on this blog!! Is she not the sweetest little thing you have ever seen? The little ring bearer was just as charming with his cute little toddler boy ways! Abby has a TWIN brother and this is his little baby boy – he stole the show throughout the entire day!

These two have the silliest and craziest special twin connection that only they can truly understand. So fun!

The “man of honor” was none other than Abby’s twin brother!

This cake topper once topped Abby’s grandmothers own wedding cake!! I just loved all the sentimental touches throughout the wedding day.

Abby and Chris had such a great wedding day hashtag! #leavethecrousetakethesantoro.  It’s from the famous line in the movie The Godfather, “leave the gun, take the cannoli” LOL!!! Heather O'Steen Wedding Photography

This dynamic duo danced the night away and wowed the entire wedding crowd with being married the very longest of anyone in attendance! 51 incredible years!! When asked to share the secrets to a long lasting marriage that stands the test of time, their answer was “Just keep dancing!! And always remember to say thank you and I love you”.

Chris and Abby – Our hope is that what you see in these photos is what everyone at your wedding saw….. two radiant souls ready and willing to overcome any obstacles thrown your way, to love each other through them, to journey on the path God has laid before you, and to do so with a smile on your face and love in your hearts.

Much Love,

Beautiful pictures. I wondered who your second shooter was. The flower girl and ring bearer were adorable. So many interesting pictures. I loved her shoes and the grooms socks. The rain made some very pretty shots. You did a great job and are going to be a busy photographer.

Thank you so much!! I appreciate your love and support through the years. It was YOU who kept telling me that I should do this for a living and I always thought you were crazy. 🙂
